Poul-Erik Olsen

Mr. Olsen joined City National Rochdale in 2003. He has over 25 years of experience in international finance and client management, including 18 years with public and private U.S. equity investments in the brokerage and investment banking industry. At City National Rochdale, he works closely with each client’s advisor to develop a customized portfolio based on the client’s investment objective, time horizon, income needs, and tolerance for market volatility. He is responsible for the investment strategy implementation and monitoring of private client portfolios, as well as direct relationship management.

Mr. Olsen was responsible for account management of the largest pension and mutual funds in Scandinavia and the Benelux region while at both Bank of America Securities and Robertson, Stephens & Co. He began his career in his native Denmark, where he worked as a lending officer for Spar Nord Bank.

Mr. Olsen earned his BS in Economics from the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark and his MBA in Finance from the University of California at Berkeley, where he specialized in finance and international business. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute. He also holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designation. Mr. Olsen lives in Piedmont, California with his wife, Christine, and three children. In his off-time, he enjoys playing golf, cycling, and attending live music shows.
