Mr. Pinard joined City National Rochdale in 2021. He partners with each client’s advisor to develop a customized portfolio based on the client’s investment objectives, time horizon, income needs, and risk tolerance. He is responsible for investment strategy implementation and monitoring of private client portfolios, as well as direct relationship management.
Mr. Pinard brings more than 20 years of experience across a variety of professional roles in the financial services industry, including over 10 years as a portfolio manager. Prior to CNR, he was a portfolio manager with Westwood Holdings Group, where he served on the Investment Oversight Committee responsible for selecting investments suitable for the firm’s wealth management clients.
Mr. Pinard earned his BS in Applied Math from Texas A&M University and his MBA with a concentration in Financial Services Management from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. While at Bauer, he apprenticed as a portfolio manager with the school’s Cougar Investment Fund, a multi-million dollar private investment fund managed by graduate students. Mr. Pinard holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification.
